Yes, it’s that time of year again. The Ides of March, when spring comes, the days grow longer, the flowers bloom, and those lovely harbingers of spring, the turkey buzzards, come back to Hinckley, Ohio.

  2. If they’re flying overhead, keep your mouth closed. And maybe wear a hat.

Turkey buzzards crap all over everything. They roost in my trees, and soar in the updraft from the ridge next to my house. Anything on the ground under the trees is well-fertilized. I know they serve an important part the ecosphere…they’re nature’s cleaning crew….but they’re just creepy when they’re flapping their wings, in the dark, like evil flying monkey bats, up in their roosting trees. Oh yeah…they crap on everything…did I mention that ?
