Graduate Class #22

Rape and sexually related deaths.  One of the more depressing lectures.

Kinds of rape, Groth’s  typology of rapists, how to do a rape kit.

  1. One of the most painful lectures in law school. Literally a young woman left the room in tears. The professor discussed, much to his credit, how the subject is incredibly difficult for most to handle in law school because one in four women in the room may have been sexually assaulted or will be. Professors don’t know how approach it, students are uneasy in recitation, and the cases are not well edited.

As more women enter the legal arena–about half my class was female and half my professors were female–it makes a difference.

    Best regards
