Dorothy Parker

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

  1. Very beautiful poem, short and cute. Brings the message across while making you smile. Thanks for a great read.

  2. This has a nice twist of irony to it. For the true pessimist, don’t even bother trying to kill yourself… it probably wouldn’t work anyway.
