Autoerotic fatalities with power hydraulics.
O’Halloran and Deitz. J Forensic Sci. 1993 Mar;38(2):359-64.
The subject was pretty strange, too. Anyone who would write poetry to his backhoe is…unusual.

When I was in grad school I used to read the J. of Forensic Science in the university library to take my mind off my troubles.
Those articles stay with you. I will never forget the suicide accomplished by wedging a large folding knife in an old-fashioned, finned radiator, and then repeatedly smashing one’s head against it.

That would make one heck of an interesting children’s book title.

He died accidentally while intentionally asphyxiating himself through suspension by the neck, leaving clues that he enjoyed perceptual distortions during asphyxiation.
I’m just taking a wild guess, but the perceptual distortions were probably not limited to the periods of asphyxiation. The other guy does not exactly seem as if this is his only eccentricity.
Were these Congressmen?
