The balances are all there. In my opinion, the reason Palin gets more attention right now because shes more side-show attraction than VP candidate. All she needs is a beard. The channels are just giving the audience what they want. As far as the Edwards case goes, basically no one was covering it. It's kind of pointless and petty since he wasn't a candidate. Dont news channels get criticized for publishing this stuff. Seems like a damned if you do, damned if you dont situation. Also the conservatives also avoided giving too much coverage of the news since McCain's family life wasn't exactly "clean" for politics.
